Problem & Challenges
HUMI YUMI is a food delivery mobile app tailored for the Saudi market that faced a lot of competition in the marketplace dominated by established players. They did not have an app to begin with. They tried other service providers but faced integration issues with payment gateways which caused friction in the ordering process. HUMI YUMI also struggled with backend scalability due to inadequate database management. These obstacles necessitated a comprehensive strategy to develop a well-functioning app for the company.
Our Approach
We wanted to develop an app that focuses on user behavior and technological trends. We restructured the app's architecture using Next.js for optimized server side rendering and faster loading times. Our team of developers implemented a responsive design for accessibility across all mobile devices. We also integrated strong third party payment gateways with secure APIs to streamline transactions and minimize drop off rates. Moreover WebSocket technology was used for instantaneous updates on order status. We also optimized the MySQL database schema for better scalability and performance during high traffic volumes at peak hours.
