IGI Life is a prominent player in the insurance sector but they were concerned about the digital infrastructure. These were due to potential security threats, primarily SQL injection attacks. These could not only compromise their data integrity but also posed a severe risk to their brand reputation undermining customer trust. The existing technology stack lacked the robustness necessary to prevent and defend against such threats, leading to frequent downtimes and a frustrating user experience.

To address these critical shortcomings we recommended transitioning to a modern tech stack featuring Node.js, React.js, and MongoDB. They are known for their superior speed and security capabilities. This solution aims to enhance performance while safeguarding sensitive user data. We also initiated a comprehensive audit of their existing architecture and security protocols. This analysis highlighted critical weaknesses and performance bottlenecks inherent in their legacy systems. We conducted a thorough threat modeling exercise to identify potential attack vectors, focusing on SQL injection risks and their impact on data integrity. With this data, we formulated a robust migration strategy to the proposed tech stack—Node.js for its asynchronous capabilities. We also used non-blocking architecture React.js for efficient UI rendering and a better user experience. Finally, we implemented MongoDB for schema-less design that allows for flexible data storage.
