Problem & Challenges
Embrace needed a mobile app to reach users across different platforms. The integration of period tracking with eCommerce functionalities presented significant technical hurdles for them. Embrace wanted an app with synchronization between personal health data and transaction processes. The reliance on React Native for cross platform compatibility introduced performance issues particularly with real time data updates. The security concerns related to handling sensitive health information needed strong encryption and compliance with data protection regulations.
Our Approach
We developed a user friendly and attractive mobile app for Embrace. This involved conducting user testing sessions to identify pain points and gather actionable feedback. We used agile development techniques to add period tracking and eCommerce. We implemented a microservices architecture which allowed us to decouple the functionalities. Plus we employed Redux for state management, real time health data and transactions. Additionally, we implemented stringent security protocols.
